We are really enjoying learning lots about this beautiful city. With so much history, culture, creativity, politics, poverty and influence their is so much going on here. Berlin is a young city with an estimated 40% of it's population under the age of 35. 628,000 foreigners are registered as living in Berlin from around 190 nations. Their are 6+ million people in the greater Berlin/Brandenburg region. Berliners are beautiful people, all made in the image of God, with significance, value, worth and ver vibrant. We seriously believe God has great plans for this beautiful city. This month has been the hardest for us so far. Living by faith is about perseverance and obedience, even when it gets tough. We are learning to hold tight to the promises of God over our lives, this church and the city. We are trusting God each day and believing Him for breakthrough as we pioneer a work that seeks to glorify God and make disciples of Jesus. We are also really grateful for church family, you! We are also thankful to God for our friends and church family praying for us, giving, and cheering us on. Particularly our friends Simon & Gwen Elliott who visited this month, and others from across New Ground who are actively supporting us.

Cross cultural church planting takes time. Whilst sometimes it's frustrating how long things can take, it's essential to get strong foundations in place. We aren't interested in something that grows quick but doesn't last. In this season of prayer and preparation we are patiently doing the basic well. As well as studying culture, seeking God for Vision, praying for the city and church, we are just faithfully working hard making friends, working jobs and learning language. A highlight of this month was hosting our Berlin prayer day, being joined by 35 friends and family to pray for Berlin and our Berlin Adventure. God moved powerfully amongst us and we felt so encouraged by prayers, prophetic words and new team saying yes to joining!
