Wow, what a summer. We've enjoyed the warm weather in this holiday season and time together with family. We had a slightly slower pace of church life meeting over the summer mainly for picnics in the park. Some of the team attended Ashburnham the New Ground camp in the UK, and Pioneer a church planting conference in Malaga, Spain. Autumn has arrived and with it the shorter, wet and windy Berlin days. This autumn welcomes many exciting God adventures for us as a church. We h
It was fun exploring the Christmas markets through December, enjoying tasty gluhwein and all the festivities. As a group we were joined by some guests and family members to celebrate our first Berlin Adventure Christmas together. Meditating on the incarnation of Christ has really helped us to reflect more on the mission God has called us to here in Berlin. Jesus took on flesh and was born (wow!). He grew up as a seemingly unimpressive man (Isaiah 53:2) and adapted to living i
We have moved all our possessions 6 times in the last two years and have finally arrived to a permanent home in Berlin. It has been tiring but worth it. We are learning lots as we pioneer a new church and living our Berlin adventure. We are so grateful to God for our new apartment that He has miraculously provided for us. In all honesty it feels like we have just arrived and we can't wait to get started with life here in Berlin.
It's been amazing to share testimonies of how
Wow, what a month we've had! We had an awesome time when George, Marissa, Metty and friends from Redeemer International church visited. Both the Benton's and Cowell's celebrated anniversaries, we had a fun mini team weekend in Berlin, and a visit from Dave & Liz Holden. We LOVE being family. One of the classic Newfrontiers vision taglines, was 'A Family Together On A Mission'. Thats what we want to be. Whatever age, stage, or cultural background you are, you're welcome to joi
We are two months into our new life in Berlin, and loving it! Berlin is so beautiful and a really cool place to be in the summer. There are so many cafes, parks, lakes, historical and creative spots to explore. Whilst it's a cool place to live, it's also a very key city to be church planting in with many, many hurting, lonely, confused and lost people. The opportunity and need for the gospel is huge and obvious everywhere you look. God have mercy! This month has included a tr
We've finally arrived in Berlin, wahooo! We are in faith for a city impacting church that loves God and Berliners. Berlin is beautiful in spring. This season is a welcomed reminder of our new, resurrected life in Christ. It's also significant and prophetic in it's timing as we start this new church sharing the good news of Jesus.
Alongside visiting clubs, cafes, churches and parks, our first few weeks were focussed on the practicals of moving in and getting our residency. W
We enjoyed our final full month with Redeemer International church and what an amazing bunch of people they are! We attended New Ground Academy in The Hague, joined in with elders & wives, served with some community outreach, and spent time with church friends. We were able to grab a breakfast date with Dave & Liz Holden who were visiting too. Sarah served at a music industry event in Amsterdam, networking and meeting many influencers and shapers from across Europe. We have l
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! Thanks for all the support. It's been an amazing year. We have really known God's goodness and love through His people. He is teaching us lots through this season of preparation. After a long weekend in Berlin we are even more excited about moving to the city in April 2018. Please pray for us and consider joining this awesome Berlin Adventure! #Berlin
Sorry for the delay in getting this months newsletter and video update out. We knew we would be a little late due to our Berlin prayer day and the New Ground prayer days in Sidcup. However we hadn't anticipated a battle with a food or sickness bug. It has slowed us down a little, but we are almost back to normal. We are so thankful to God for the amazing time we had in Berlin for our prayer day. We were joined by 60 friends and family from across New Ground. It was a powerful
August was a busy month travelling back and forth to the UK for Newday and Ashburnham, with a week exploring in Berlin. It was tiring, but we loved every moment of it! It was such a privilege to serve at Newday and Ashburnham. We love doing events with our Newfrontiers and New Ground family. Serving alongside and meeting up with other friends doing life and serving God in different cities and churches around the world is always an encouragement.
We'll be spending more time
